Early 20th Century Wing Lobby: The 'Golden Age' of Postcards
It's the turn of the 20th century and Chicago is growing by leaps and bounds. The Chicago motto, borne after the Chicago Fire on Sunday, October 8, 1871 is; "I WILL" rebuild. And rebuild they did. The time period in this wing is from 1900 through 1949.

The Museum's collection of "I WILL" postcards is absolutely stupendous! Don't miss the "I Will" Galleries which highlights the 35 year effort of Chicagoan's to rebuild the city to World Class Stature after the Great Chicago Fire.
